Chat about your campaign, edit your notes, and build adventures in one app. Install Codex separately and sign in before you start.

Skills setup

Install the skills
in your agent.

The download includes both Familiar skills and the publishing toolkit. No desktop app or separate Codex installation is needed when using another agent.

Your agent

Extract the download, open a terminal in familiar-skills, and run:

node install.mjs --agent claude-code

Run the setup and tool-check commands printed by the installer, then restart your agent. Ask it: “Use Familiar to develop my adventure and format it for print.”

Requires Node.js 22+, Python 3.10+, and Poppler. Uses your agent’s own AI account.
